Like any foodie going for brunch is mandatory on Sundays. This time we opted for a brunch with a fixed menu located downtown Porto (Portugal) in a trendy artsy known for its galleries, shops and cafes.
As the name says, ROSA ET AL is also known for being a townhouse with a rather exclusive concept. But let’s focus on the restaurant. At the entrance you can find a small lounge area and a wall full of local products that can be purchased.
On the other side is the eating area. It has a small built in kitchen that serves more as decoration than for preparing meals. Outside there is also a nice garden area, ideal for cool summer days.
Now, let’s talk food! They have a special brunch menu or you can choose to order from the menu. We went with both. The brunch menu comes with 3 main courses. First, we ordered homemade yoghurt with granola and fruit. Then, it was time to try a Croque-Monsieur, a traditional french grilled ham and cheese homemade bread sandwich. And also a homemade toast sandwich with poached egg, smocked salmon and avocado.
One of their specialities are their homemade pancakes. I ordered mine with chocolate but you can choose from a variety of toppings. Most of what they offer on the menu is homemade and you can taste the warmth with which it is prepared. Everything was mouthwatering and exquisite. I feel tempted in going back, do you?!
Bon Appétit!
